Out of the Garden - FRESH MOBILE MARKET
Out of the Garden is a food assistance program for families primarily in Guilford County. Their desire is to partner with parents, teachers, friends, and organizations to provide food and hope for every child. Their mission is to nourish families with food to grow, learn, and thrive. Their vision is connecting people through partnerships that feed families, create community, and build healthier outcomes.
Fresh Mobile Markets are free mobile food pantries that distribute fresh produce, bread, meat, and shelf-stable items to qualifying families on a monthly basis throughout 20 locations in the Piedmont Triad. Families can expect to leave a Fresh Mobile Market with at least 65 pounds of food. Out of the Garden currently serve over 3,000 families every month.
King's Cross Church hosts a Fresh Mobile Market at the church's facility each month.
